History of Sugar Tree Golf Club
The town of nearby Dennis once celebrated the opening of a cable suspension bridge over the Brazos River. Dennis boasted two mercantile stores, a cotton gin, post office, and a blacksmith shop. The barn of the original Dennis estate still sits left of the 15th fairway and there are remnants of an old school house.
If you haven't been...Go!
This one's definitely worth a drive. I have not played a nicer course for the money. I've played out here several times in the past year and found the course to be in great shape every time. It's a beautiful course with some great views. If you haven't been... go. GolfLink Review, A.Kilroy
